TAKE ACTION

You’ve read Overdressed. Now what?! Even if you’ve only got five minutes or five dollars to spend, you can help create the fashion industry we all want to see and be a part of. From donating or volunteering for a non-profit organization that’s fighting for garment workers to researching the social commitments of your favorites brands online to further educating yourself about fashion’s environmental toll, every little bit of action helps! Here are 5 ways to Take Action today!

2. DIG DEEP ON YOUR FAVORITE FASHION BRANDS!
Find out more about the environmental and social impact of your favorite brands. You can download one of these apps: Good on You, Good Guide, Ethical Barcode and Buycott, which allow you to either search your favorite bands or scan the barcode of a garment while you’re out shopping. You can also read The Fashion Transparency Index 2016 [PDF] or visit
Remake and read their Wallet Guide.

3. BE CURIOUS AND FURTHER EDUCATE YOURSELF ON FASHION’S IMPACT
There are a number of excellent books and movies on the fashion industry that are both enjoyable and packed with more information. I recommend the following resources.
